Many of AppLovin’s advertisers pay on a CPI (cost per install) basis. This means AppLovin and you (the publisher) get paid only when a click produces an install.

When you have shown only a few impressions, it may be that a payable interaction has not yet occurred. After more impressions and clicks are delivered, more interaction with the ads occurs, which generates revenue.
