Configuring two-factor authentication (2FA)

Axon strongly recommends that you configure two-factor authentication (2FA) to better protect your account. You can choose SMS or an authenticator app.

To Configure 2FA

  1. Log in to your Axon Ads Manager dashboard.
  2. Click your user profile in the top right (your email initials).
  3. Select Two-factor authentication (2FA).
  4. Choose a method to enable 2FA: SMS verification or authenticator app.
  5. Follow the instructions to complete the setup.

If You Receive a “Code could not be sent” Message

If you attempt to log in using 2FA and you receive an error message, AppLovin’s SMS messages may be blocked. This happens often for customers in China and Vietnam. Try these work-arounds:

  • Disable any ad-blockers.
  • Try using a different browser and a different device.
  • If you received multiple codes, wait one hour and try again.
  • If the above fixes don’t work, open a support ticket and ask to have your 2FA reset. 

Time Sync Issues When Using an Authenticator App

For your authenticator app to work, your authentication device (often your phone) and the computer running the site you try to access must have their clocks set to the same time. A difference in system clock times causes the code generated by the authenticator app to fail.

Resetting Your 2FA

To reset your 2FA, open a support ticket and ask to have your 2FA reset. For security reasons, this reset process takes at least seven days, and may take longer due to weekends and holidays. After your 2FA resets, you can choose a new method.
